The Kings Point Dinghy Team is the Intercollegiate arm of the Kings Point Waterfront. Perennially ranked in the top fifteen teams in the country, the KP Dinghy Team boasts more than 30 All-Americans, 13 National Championships and is one of the most distinguished teams in the ICSA.
The KP Dinghy Team sails 5 days a week on Long Island Sound in their fleet of 20 FJs, 20 420s and 20 Lasers. The Team has between thirty and forty sailors that come from all over the United States. Some of our sailors have sailed extensively through high school sailing and junior sailing; other teammates have begun sailing while midshipmen at the academy. We pride ourselves on providing the most broad sailing experience in all of college sailing.
Kings Point competes in MAISA, which is the most celebrated conference in college sailing. Stretching from Virgina to Upstate New York, MAISA provides great competition for the team and ensures that our team has the best opportunity to sail the top events in college sailing.
